I work as a contractor and use a nailer several times a week. My 20 year old porter cable was stuck and didn't have time to fix it so I did a little research and settled on this Makita. Big mistake. Everything about this gun feels great in hand, but I have two big issues with it. 1. It doesn't use your entire stack of loaded nails. There are always about 6-8 nails left before reloading is required. I called Makita and they explained that this is normal and that it is necessary to protect the gun from damage caused by blank fire.2. It is very difficult to get this weapon to drive nails. If you don't put the boot down firmly and evenly, it won't sink into the 2 1/4 inch nails. I even increased the compressor pressure to 120psi and still no luck. The return date has already passed, so I'm sticking with it. But I plan to buy something else. I spent too much time driving nails with a hand hammer.
