Dremel tools definitely fill their niche. They accomplish tasks that would simply not be possible otherwise, or in any case are much more difficult, especially when it comes to delicate or complex work. However, this stone is a great addition to the Dremel repertoire, allowing you to sharpen a wide variety of items. And while it will indeed sharpen many items, it's just not a practical choice in some cases. It sharpens mower blades, for example, but when those blades are as worn as mine are usually when they're taken out for maintenance, it wears out very quickly. And as with any whetstone, it's not very good for accuracy when it starts to wear unevenly.
