Review on Xantrex Freedom 817 2080 Power Inverter by Paul Lee

Item was in my camper for a year. I have powerful shore power surge suppression filters and my installation has not changed since the original installation, nor have the electronics. Received a code 12, paid $60 of my own money to send it to service because they don't cover it, and the letter email has a warning that there will be a $250 fee if they don't do anything find wrong. I just found out that there is an overload fault that is not covered under warranty! The only things that plug into it are a microwave and lights for the van. who leads. Very surprised as the reviews I have read indicate this is a good product from a good company. Upon further reading, it appears that they are now owned by an overseas company.
