Works great. We use it outside in the fire area to keep the smoke away from seated people, so portable use was important. It was also important that it was on a stand. It wasn't the easiest fan I've ever built, so the design could have been improved, but it wasn't too difficult. This fan does not vibrate. It moves the wind very well. It tilts and wobbles or may point in one direction. My only minor complaint is that the battery dies when not in use, so you have to charge it before use, which takes some planning.
