The soles aren't particularly thick, but they may be just what the doctor ordered.
These Valtek water shoes should be good for walking on hot sand, hot sidewalk or street. I'm less than thrilled that they're great on a sharp or uneven surface. On the sharp gravel you can feel the edges of the rocks. It's a compromise, isn't it? The thicker sole means you won't be using them for yoga or kayaking. But the thinner sole means they offer less protection. Maybe it's a good compromise after all!
