Review on VOTEX M12 Aluminum Oil/Coolant Crush Washers - 20 Pack - Made in USA - Drain Plug Seal Ring Gasket by Christopher Lott

Strong magnet, don't settle for an aluminum connector that unscrews

M12x1.25 connector fits many Toyota and other engines, a popular size for Japanese cars. Expensive but I think it's a good investment when you think about it. Oil filters typically filter down to about 20 microns. This magnet removes ferrous particles of all sizes including those smaller than 20 microns and reduces scratching of the pump (the oil pump sucks unfiltered oil out of the sump, if the particles are caught before entering the pump this is an advantage even if they are large enough to be caught in the filter.) Indicates engine condition/lubrication quality by monitoring the spark plug during operation. I used cheap anodized aluminum magnet plugs, the magnets were fine but if you are not very careful the aluminum will unscrew then good luck removing the stuck part in the oil pan. But it's stainless steel, GR8 works. The original fiber washer was used, although the metal washer that comes with this connector seemed oversized and most likely dripped a bit. The engine now has 385,000 km and runs well. If engine builders really care about durability, then this should be OEM equipment, right? But why does future sale hurt 😜 Manufacturer: I don't give any stars for this, but the center hole of the washer should be smaller so that it stays centered on the plug (it's quite loose), and the stainless steel plug is not needed, steel would suit me cheaper, only a mechanic 👨‍🔧 usually sees that anyway, and rust is no problem at all with drain plugs. Would buy again!
