I jumped at the chance to use this on my v11. I'm glad I did. Other v11 models were 20-40 more expensive. After researching all possible Dyson branded attachments, I noticed that there are only two main types. One is gray with a curved slit and the other has a red button. It turns out that v8 red button attachments are compatible with v11. This works wonderfully on hardwood floors. We have a crawling baby with an eczema allergy and my v11 spinner head just wasn't picking up all the dust and bits from the floor. So I got the furry model after trying the furry v7 model elsewhere and was convinced I needed this device. Works exactly as I expected. And more! I can set the power to the low model (v11) and vacuum up all the playground mats without peeling off the protective surface. I still switch to a torsion head for carpets and some tile areas, but honestly fluffy is best for smooth, flat areas.
