We bought this after reading reviews that said it was waterproof. nope We have bedwetting in one child and this after 3 months of using a truly waterproof absorbent mat (which slides on the mattress so urine runs off). Probably waterproof. I poured water on it straight from the box and the water didn't seep in. However, I didn't lie in the water for hours. If you have a large volume humidifier, this is clearly not the solution. To be honest, I was horrified when I opened the lid today. Not thrilled to have discovered this 2 weeks into Revain's return/refund period. A plus - it's really convenient. If you need an extra mattress that you can hide in the closet and pull out for a child's friend to sleep on, that's fine. Also, it doesn't say it's a Twin XL size, just measurements, but Twin XL sheets will fit.
