I live in Fremont, California. about 36 miles from most TV stations. I hang this lightweight little match wing antenna outside in the corner of my house, just above the drainpipe where it can point in the right direction. It didn't look good at first because it was too far from my two TVs. So I bought a $15 RCA amp, connected this antenna to the RCA amp, and then to a 2-way splitter. From there I ran 2 coax cables to my 2 new HDTVs. One was LG 32", the other Sony 42". One coaxial cable was 80 feet long, the other 90 feet long. Finally, I rescanned the channels and both TVs received all signals from channel 2 to channel 66, so about 80 channels in total. Although the strength of all signals was only 19 to 30 dB, they were clear and error-free except for CH7 and CH11. Both VHF channels occasionally experience impulse noise caused by the ignition system of passing vehicles, especially during rush hour. That's my guess. Maybe I'm wrong. My conclusion: This Matchwing antenna really works and has exceeded all my expectations.
