I've always wanted a "book light" but never found the time to just get one. Well now I'm SO HAPPY I MADE IT! I can stay in the room with my little ones until bedtime and the light doesn't even remotely bother them. That's wonderful. I read while they fall asleep. A win-win situation. When I can't sleep and need to kill time, I can just grab a book and turn on the light and my wife won't get any the wiser. Now I keep my smartphone in the bathroom because I can read in such great light. Goodbye electronics in the bedroom! The best feature of this reading lamp is the blue light filtering. You have no idea how "soft" light can be until you filter out the blue and end up with a beautiful amber reading lamp. No headache. Do not worry. Battery life is off the charts too, and charging is as easy as plugging into ANY charging pad I have nearby. The only small downside to this lantern is the size of the base. It's a bit bigger than I'd like, but it's a great deal for all the features packed into it.
