I bought two 1180gph pumps. With a 5 foot head and 3/4 rigid PVC piping I am getting about 1100 gph from 2 of these pumps. That's only 550 gallons per hour for each pump. After a month in a saltwater pool, they became too loud to watch television at a comfortable volume. We used to keep the volume at around 15-17, but now we usually have to increase it to 20-25. They are definitely too loud. In conclusion, I recommend buying another pump if you want something of quality or quoted stats. These pumps do not meet the declared flow characteristics. Then, coupled with the noise level, there's a verdict to buy something else. For me they are temporary. They are barely enough for the requirements and due to the budget I could not buy better quality at the time of purchase. Given the situation, I would search more again and find something else.
