So after I got my new knives I was looking for a well made cutting board, not only because it would make a great work surface but it also looked good. First I bought a small one (second photo). It worked great for the first few months, but I always ran out of space. So now he has a new home at the other end of the ridge. I just bought the Highland - it's fantastically massive! A good weight gives me plenty of room to trim and prep. I could even rotate it 90 degrees and leave room on the side for lots of little bowls of mise en scène. - You can't go wrong with any of them (or their other offerings). Just make sure you buy good quality oil to keep your investment looking wonderful.
