Luckily I haven't had to use this particular fire blanket yet but I have used it in the past. A few years ago I had a grease fire on my stove outside and I put out the flames with an old blanket. It was easy to use and it worked. This one looks just like this one, so I'm sure it will work just as well. You must replace the blanket after use. I keep it in the kitchen just in case. This is effective for small fires that are quickly detected. It has clear instructions on the outside of the bag and I've asked everyone in the house to check it out to make sure they know how to use it in an emergency.
