A few days ago I unpacked the trackpad and thought it was another useless device I wasted money on. I'm glad I'm wrong. I wanted to pair a trackpad with a small keyboard to save space on my desk. I'm used to using a trackball mouse and the trackball needs enough room to fit a real mouse as it doesn't move. Due to a thumb injury I can no longer use the trackball and have bought an ergonomic mouse. The new mouse feels great, but takes up a lot of space that I don't actually have. Solution: small keyboard and separate trackpad. This trackpad is wired, which doesn't bother me. This is the cost of charging the battery. In some reviews, people have complained about the odd fixed orientation: with the mouse placed like the seller's pictures and the cable moving forward from the user, a horizontal swipe causes vertical movement and vice versa. So I changed the trackpad so the buttons are down and it works fine. For the first 24 hours of use, I kept going back to the mouse as I was more comfortable with it (I avoided trackpads on laptops). However, over the next two days, I gave up on the mouse. This trackpad made me love trackpads. I even use the trackpad on my tablet for this reason. Best use of $20 I've made in a long time.
