Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ BikeMaster Heated Grips: LCD Switch for 7/8" Handlebars - Stay Warm and Comfortable While Riding by Reggie Stewart

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great addition to your bike if you can handle bad instructions. The controller/display looks and works fantastic.

The general appearance and performance of this product are excellent. The instructions are poorly written, but Bikemaster contacted me and said they would fix it. I destroyed the first set with a rubber mallet to install the side throttle. The fit is very tight, even after trimming and preparing the throttle tube. So I ordered another set and used tire mounting grease and a block of wood between the handle and rubber mallet. Still difficult to install. Use an appropriately sized outlet to plug it in for the last inch or so. The other side is very loose so I used Gorilla Glue to attach that side. .Hope the superglue works, just had to rush to get the grip position right) The LCD looks fantastic and of course the voltmeter is a great addition. The heat wasn't great at first, but I found that my stator wasn't putting out the right voltage. With a newly installed stator, I would compare the heat setting to holding a very hot cup of coffee. Some have commented that the grips feel too thick. I think to the point. Maybe Bike Master solved this problem? I'm having trouble setting up the automatic feature, but I'll take care of it later or wait for new instructions. Wiring was pretty easy. I used my own electrical connectors instead of the ones supplied.
