The lid has come loose and is completely worn out from sliding around the box. For what we paid it should have been better protected than being thrown in a box with other items. Abrasion makes it appear dull and glossy when viewed. I walk past him every day and he annoys me. Will buy another one, hopefully in better condition. Note: This is Glitter Black Blank Cove and Matte. We bought it to match our light switch. The light switch is matte black, looks very beautiful, no fake shiny plastic.
