Review on Glencairn Whiskey Glass by Stolzle by Sheila Myers

When I opened the box and saw the jar, I was amazed. This is a really good bourbon glass with a very sophisticated design. Love the fact that unlike many cheap bar items, this is lead-free crystal (unless it says so on the packaging, it usually isn't). The only comment I have is how thin the top of the glass is. The base seems very strong and thick, but it seems that the top part can break even with the slightest accidental hit. That doesn't mean you can't have fun with him; only if you hit the middle (thick) part of the glass and not the top! I wouldn't wash it in the dishwasher either. I have seen many of my glasses get chipped or completely broken in the dishwasher and there is no way I want this glass to suffer the same fate. For the money this is a great glass and the perfect affordable gift for any whiskey/bourbon/scotch/rum/name your poison drinker. Highly recommended.
