This is for a light natural chestnut. I often dye my hair with this shade. However, I usually use $3 boxes. I think the brand is Colorsilk.? I am not sure. But this brand was sold out so I tried these. This one costs $4 more per box so I had high expectations and really thought my hair was redder than I wanted. I use 2 boxes. My hair is light brown and can be dyed easily. The first photo is before, then during, then wet, then dry. I thought my hair was reddish red but to be honest I can't even tell the difference. The $3 boxes definitely look better. One thing I've noticed is that my roots still look brown and intact. The $3 option always stains my roots well, no problem. This dye smells great. It has no strong chemical odor and is easy to use. It's not as watery/thin as other cheaper brands. Unfortunately I feel like it was a failure and I won't buy it again as it didn't do much. I'll stick with my usual cheap brand for now.
