Light is nice when everyone is working in the same mode. The only problem is that to set the mode you have to press the button on the plug. The plug is on my ledge and we've connected some wires to the outside of the house. So when the timer turns off the light, and then the next day, the default mode switches between 8 modes about every 10 seconds! And then they fail! It's a hot mess. I can't find any instructions explaining how to lock mode so I don't think you can. You either have to climb the stairs and set the mode EVERY day or never turn them off.
