I bought this charger to replace my HP Pavilion x360; It was a lot cheaper than buying one from HP (which had been on hold for a while). This charger was specified to work with it (and the voltage is the same as the old one). However, after switching on, the converter began to heat up. Essentially. Generating enough heat to burn my skin, I turned it off. The question is: is the overheating due to a manufacturing issue of THIS device, or is there no guarantee that it will work with my laptop? I decided to return it instead of sending another one (returning "faulty") and risking the same result.
