I had a problem with torn paper bags in the bin of my vacuum cleaner. I think they sometimes ripped once they "inflated" for the first time when the vacuum was turned on after changing to a new bag. These bags are advertised as fabric so I figured they would be more durable and the price was right. The durability exceeded my expectations! These things are HEAVY! I don't think these pouches could burst even if I suck on broken glass, razor blades, steak knives, samurai swords or live Tasmanian devils. They seem too good to throw away and I'm embarrassed to throw them away when they're full. If they had a zipper, they could be reused. They are similar to the material that makes up a reusable shopping bag. The suction power is good, even after quite a long period of use, when children run through the swelling mud and mud. I intend to overstuff them just to see how they hold up and see how they hold up dirt/dust. It is difficult to judge whether they are allergenic or not as nobody in our family is hypersensitive to dust and in our vacuum cleaner there are two other filters after the bag, one of which is a HEPA filter. All I can say is that the HEPA filter hasn't clogged since I've been using these packs. I will definitely update my review once we review the initial packaging of these bags.
