I was a little surprised when I received this. It was more than I thought. The display indicates the size. Maybe I should have read that part. :-) And it was difficult. The suction cups on the bottom work very well. The suction cups combined with the weight allow me to sharpen without holding the device down. It works easily without me having to strain my pens to get a good point. The sharpener seems to do its job very well. I got a long sharp point very quickly. It seemed he hadn't removed an excessive amount of wood. Hopefully most of my crayons don't end up in the chip compartment. The cutter is detachable. So if it's stuck, I can take it off to clean it. This block should be good for colored pencils. But sharpening a graphite pencil regularly will remove the wax from your blades. It's a little expensive. But the cutter can be replaced. That's why I chose this sharpener. The cutter is available from Revain for 9.39. So maybe this is the only sharpener I need to buy. In one of the questions in the ad, I read that these sharpeners were being recalled. I checked a few years ago. Surely this problem has already been solved. If I'm shocked or have any other issues I'll update my review. At the moment it only works peach and I'm satisfied.
