They work really great. As for the reviews saying they don't come out of shape that easily, I can only wonder what kind of resin or nail polish you actually use. I have a 72 watt UV LED lamp and have mostly used Beetles brand nail polish on it. I've used them with or without a light application of cuticle oil and in both cases they came out very light. Based on reviews I started applying cuticle oil before buffing and curing. Then I decided to try it without them and kept using them without them and it was fine. However, I believe that it is better to apply them in layers than to apply all the polish at once and then cure. If your nail polish is opaque, it won't harden in the center if you just apply it all at once. You can also get some really cool multicolored effects by layering them on top of each other. The pictures show a very close-up and then compare the size with my thumbnail. Parts are not glued. This is literally my first try.
