Everything seems fine. Feels light, but maybe that's a good thing. I didn't buy this for the Hobart helmet. I bought this to replace a hat on a cheap auto-darkening welding helmet (NEIKO Tools). This Hobart has a 5/8" square bore. A cheap helmet has a 9/16" round bore. I modified my round holes with a couple of small wire cutters to "cut" the square hole and then lined it with filed down to size with a flat file.Note: You will need to use the side of the file to cut a small notch in the center of the top of each square hole.Since there is a small protruding tick on the Hobart through hole I assume it is for alignment on the assembly line. Tip: do a dry fit before cutting a square hole. You have some adjustment for where the helmet will stop in the open and closed position, but you have to "zone" it bring.
