The rubber seal on the one I received has come loose at the top so I urge you to replace it. I compared it to the OEM version I pulled from my DC16 and found the following differences: 1) The rubber gasket is slightly thicker than the OEM, so closing the block requires more force and is a tighter fit. I expect this will decrease over time as the rubber compresses. 2) The rubber pad/strip is attached to the plastic frame with some sort of surface tape and wrapped around the frame which I could peel off and maneuver around. It clicks noticeably when you insert it into the device. On the OEM model, the rubber is one piece with a much stronger bond and does not move silently. I don't expect this filter to last that long. as OEM because of the glue. 3) The foam pre-filter is perfect for the OEM model (which is really what I need the most). Color is darker than OEM and slightly stiffer. Overall not the worst replacement for the price. I hope the second replacement I get is better. Update 06/05/2019: got a replacement. Same problem when the rubber seal came loose. I pulled and put the gasket on and checked that it would hold. Came back 24 hours later and it disconnected again. Let's see if I can get a full refund for the product.
