Perfect fit for my Rainbow (has an oval hole). An OEM filter replacement costs $80-$90, this filter will do the same job for a fraction of the cost. I bought this filter after realizing my Rainbow had lost a lot of power/suction. After about 10 months of use it was having trouble getting air through the (standard) filter. I decided to "flush" the filter as instructed, but that didn't solve the problem. The way this filter is constructed actually makes it extremely difficult to clean. You basically fill the cartridge with water and then pour the water out. Then it dries FOREVER! I think it's best to just replace it.
