Every year I put up a haunted house and use a lot of sound effects. I was looking, although I didn't think it was legit, for an all in one speaker that had a great base and could play MP3s from USB. Found. I have to say that the sound this little guy makes is pretty incredible for the size and especially the price. This will fill the space for a specific scene I'm planning for this year's haunted house. It gets loud, there's really no noticeable distortion, and the small subwoofer fills the room with deep bass. I will most likely buy one of these villains again. *** Tip for playing audio files from USB. I was still having issues where music files could not be played/recognized by my Mac. At some point I found out that your files must be real MP3 files. Although the files I just pulled from the CD played on my Mac, they didn't. Even after changing the extension to mp3. After importing the CD and exporting it as MP3, I copied it to USB and it works fantastic. The remote control isn't the best, but it works and has a control panel on the front in case the remote fails. It wasn't an easy decision. Brilliant!
