Fine mesh bag. I was so excited to finally find a mesh pouch that would effectively store purigen but without the horrible 'bags' price bracket. These bags are amazing and perfect for my needs. They even come with plastic zippers so you don't have to worry about damaging your pet with corrosive metal parts. The pouches are made from a very thin, translucent mesh that can easily hold small resins/other media. The mesh feels stiffer than expected, more like a silky, stiffer tulle. This makes folding the bag less "flexible" than others made from softer nylon materials. However, this in no way affects its use. Sewn together with a wide seam allowance, some pockets had a few loose threads. But it hasn't affected my appreciation or use in any way. Although the bags were slightly larger than I needed, I currently use them in several of my Purigen tanks and filter media. The bags fit snugly in the Aqua Clear 75, but with smaller filters the unused portion of the bag can be tight.
