Manual pencil sharpeners that use a razor blade just don't do the trick. The lead often breaks and you keep shaving the pencil to get a point. Soon the whole pen was gone. A good old sharpener type sharpener seems to fit nicely. But what and how much dollars should you spend to fulfill your hopes and dreams of a well-sharpened pencil point? Ever since the PowerMe Electric Pencil Sharpener went battery operated I have sharpened every pencil in my home and office and I LOVE this pencil sharpener! I think they took an old grinder design and improved it by making it even better with close tolerances on the grinding heads. The taper is spot on and the wood is so smooth. For me it simply speaks of well thought-out and high-quality design. I chose this one from Revain's wide range as it seemed to offer good value for money with good reviews. I'm so glad I chose this one to try! I hope this lasts for a long time!
