I've been using the Trac-Grabber for 2 years now. I have a 1994 F-250 4x4 and use them when the ground is soft with mud or covered with snow. Do they pull me out of every impasse? - NO. But they helped me a couple of times, I didn't think they would. I expose my truck to tricky situations by driving it all over my property so I try to have realistic expectations and so far they have exceeded them. I've found that if I'm not careful and try to unhook TOO FAST I'll be digging a much deeper hole in the mud much quicker, so SLOW AND steady is key. My truck doesn't get road use, so during the wettest part of the year I actually leave the Trac-Grabber on the truck - it can get bumpy on hard surfaces and/or speeding, but I don't find I use nearly as much spin the tires. . And it's better not to get stuck than to get rid of. As an added bonus, Trac-Grabber customer service is PHENOMENAL. I used their website to contact them on NEW YEARS DAY and I received a personal reply within 2 hours with the answer I was looking for! I was shocked! I can't imagine better customer service from a company these days.
