Bought 5 of these specifically to take dogs into the woods. I put a tag on each collar with a phone number in case a dog gets lost. However, the collar hardware isn't as strong as I expected. The clasp is very flimsy and feels cheap. I think the collars will hold up well. They are waterproof and lightweight. If you are looking for a waterproof collar for swimming, hunting, etc., I recommend the Sportdog Training / Anti-Bark replacement collar. They are available in all colors and have adjustment holes approximately every 1/4 inch for a perfect fit. In addition, collars for sporting dogs have a much nicer fit. I didn't think about that when I bought it, but I'll switch as soon as I feel like spending the money again. As a result, you can buy a replacement collar for a sporting dog for a few more dollars.
