Review on 🔥 High-performance Spectra Complete Radiator CU2310: Optimal Cooling for Your Vehicle by Patrick Carlson

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure

So how did this "adventure" begin? Well, my truck's owner's manual says "don't use orange extended life coolant" and on top of that I think I've used combination coolants at some point. Basically my radiator/coolant system was clogged with hardcore AND I froze to death at 4am on the commute to work. I reverse flushed the heater core first, which gave me VERY temporary relief from the whole system being in such bad shape. Well after a big flush of the system and a proper radiator replacement the heat is back and I'm happy. I bought this for: 99 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0 4x4 Code "D". The radiator is very tight, like a normal radiator. Everything matched. The thread on the radiator was good. However, one of the small plastic thread protectors was missing. Arrived well packaged. The box was damaged. The radiator was slightly twisted. For example, if you look down at the radiator and look at your feet, you can see this. Well I already had my OEM heatsink and was looking at it too (too late to panic). There was the same very slight twist so I guess it's just engineered/engineered to fit? Functionally it works perfectly. No leaks or anything like that when installed. Here is my advice to you when installing this radiator. You probably need to remove something from your old radiator. For example, a plastic damper under which the coolant overflow hose runs. Why are you here at Revain, you can grab some long zip ties or some small plastic plugs. When I removed the "plastic wind dampener" from my old radiator I tried to be careful, but the little plastic plugs were late in life and broke on me. Cable ties saved me.
