I bought two rugs to put on the large rug in our dining room and to replace some others that didn't last long at all. I wanted an elegant look and that's exactly what I got. These rugs are plush and silky. Our dining room is very sunny so our cats love to swim, sunbathe and nap. They also love rugs. I knew from experience that it was only a matter of time before someone spilled a ball of yarn on the carpet (sorry, but it's true). It happened. I have only washed these rugs in cold water with detergent (NO fabric softener). When taking it out of the washing machine, I shook it vigorously to loosen the fibers. Do this outside because the water drops will splash. Then I hung them up to air dry. After it was completely dry, I repeated vigorous shaking. and look like new! I've considered buying pet friendly rugs from other sellers, but at a much higher price and with mixed reviews, these were worth trying. I'm so glad I did. They really are perfect for our family.
