I bought this when I needed it, ie right after the original crashed. It was exactly what I needed and as fast as I could. The price was very reasonable compared to what I would pay to get my car back on the road so it's good value for money although the quality is no better than the original. The rest of the story is that GM should never have used plastic as an oil filter cap material. After eight years and 120,000 miles, the material had become so brittle that someone subjected it to normal stress to remove it. If this new one is of the same quality, it will likely last the rest of the car's life. I wish GM would spend the extra few bucks and put a quality part in the car first.
