Review on πŸ”§ Enhanced AUTOOL Ultrasonic Fuel Injector Cleaner and Tester - Ideal for Petrol/Motorcycle Automotive Fuel Cleaning by William Chavez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works great the first time; cleaner melt plastic; The instruction manual is crap.

This tool is a great concept and it actually works (first time) if you're careful. If the carburetor cleaner comes in contact with the plastic terminals of the electrical contacts or the plastic front cover, the plastic on these parts will melt. The instructions are poorly written. Critical omissions: not told how to fill the tank; It does not describe how to reset the vials after a flow test (which is what the small button in the middle of the vials is for); And it doesn't say how to empty the tank when the job is done (to empty the tank you have to tilt the unit on its side). Parts of the instrument appear to be well made, while other parts (like the ultrasonic bath drain valve and the plastic parts mentioned above) are really cheap or made out of the wrong material. The kit should come with 2 or 3 sets of extra headers and 2 or 3 plastic faceplates, but the headers are non-detachable. I bought a used Mercedes wiring harness off ebay to clean the injector pins. I will try to cut off Chinese plugs and glue in German plugs which are solvent resistant. I love how well this machine works, but I've only used it once. I've tried pouring the entire carburetor cleaner out of the block, but it remains to be seen whether the remaining pairs of inner gaskets will be damaged. I will update this review next time I use it.

Pros
  • Why it's needed
Cons
  • Minor issues
