I did a lot of research and read reviews before purchasing these scissors. The reviews were all very positive, with the only common "belief" being that they fall apart easily. Let me put this topic to bed. You can't accidentally let them fall apart. They can be easily disassembled (for cleaning, etc.) but to separate them you have to open them as wide as possible and to do this you have to hold them with two hands. This is not a problem. The pros are very sharp and as the listing states will stay sharp for years. They sort of sharpen themselves in terms of how two blades fit together when cutting. They're very strong and while not heavy, have a good "weight" in hand - you'll feel confident slicing through thicker cuts of meat or packaging, fabric, etc. with good leverage when using. I don't wash them in the dishwasher just because I hand wash all my good knives and scissors. Absolutely no signs of rust but it must be admitted they were for a short time. I love them and use them A LOT. Highly recommended.
