Some reviews said it doesn't glow in the dark. When it came out of the package it barely glowed in the dark. However, the instructions state that you should leave it in direct sunlight for two and a half hours for the best results. I left it in direct sunlight for an hour and then took it to a dark room and took a picture. It shines very well. One review said he put it under a UV light to "charge" it and it didn't glow. You "charge" it in bright sunlight and it will glow. Another reviewer said it was difficult to assemble. It's a parachute line, not a rope. The repair of the parachute cord is carried out by sewing devices. If you want to splice something, buy rope. If you cut it you will either have to tie a knot at the end or melt it down. I like to melt with a butane lighter. I use it to tie down a folding roof. For this purpose it works great.
