After restoring the headlights on my 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 for the third time, I decided to apply some of this film to protect against UV and other damage. I looked into products for restoring headlights with a separate UV coating, but heard a lot of complaints from users. So I decided to go this route. Hopefully this will last a few years and they will be easier to remove/replace later on. Regarding instructions, 3M has published a PDF document that suggests wet application and describes the process. Recommended soap to water ratio and application tools are also included. The file also mentions using alcohol/water to set the stretch film in place during application, but I didn't use it and didn't have to. If this is your first time, GET THE EXTRA MOVIE! You may not get the results you want the first time. So get some extra so you can just take it off and try again.
