I decided to change it myself after getting a crazy price from the mechanic. It consisted of draining the oil, loosening 11 bolts, prying off the old pan, scraping the excess off the old gasket, installing a new one with sealant and replacing the bolts and completing the oil change. It couldn't be easier. The hardest part was cutting and breaking the old seal after removing the screws. Also, since my car was low off the ground, we used a jack with a block of wood on it and then installed the jack stands to one side to give room to work. The gasket worked great and prevented my factory gasket from leaking.
