Review on Helly Hansen Vanern Midlayer XX Large Men's Clothing by Keith Montague

The color looks like coyote brown on the internet at first, but this jacket is dark green. The fabric is really soft - not a softshell at all. It's like something that pulls out thorns and carries pills. It was like a sweatshirt on steroids, too warm for anything but late fall and winter. The flap at the front above the vertical zipper is useless and looks odd in style. I'm 6ft 250lbs and usually wear XL and bought s 2XL and it was doable but it was a fitted jacket. The hood (obviously like all HHs) is non-retractable and is a huge hood that zips up to make you look like a turtle. The hood is so big that you have to close the jacket 3/4 to keep the jacket on your shoulders. I sent it back because of the color and it was too heavy for me.
