Absolutely what I was looking for. I have tried many holders with vents and they have worked well but always lost the airflow intended for the rider. It fit perfectly in my dash where I could place it without interfering with ventilation or radio controls. I have a Samsung Note 8 with a heavier case that vibrates on the air vent mounts. The magnet is very strong, the phone is stable. I had to modify my case to add a metal plate to the back of the case and use stronger 3M double sided tape to attach the plate. The mounting bracket adhesive is strong enough to be mounted on a vertical dashboard surface with plenty of sunlight. As mentioned, the mount only tilts at an angle of around 45 degrees, so it's probably not suitable for a horizontal mount. The ball in the holder is tight, so the phone rotates without effort.
