We selected these boots based on color, shorter height and Columbia brand quality expectations. While my teen loves the cropped cut - she could actually wear them to school - these boots didn't meet our expectations initially. The boots are cute but my 10 year old daughter couldn't even put her foot in the tiny incredibly tight sock. Crate. I wasn't ready to give up these boots—they seem well tailored and go great with her coat—so we tucked a baseball in the toe box to stretch it and add headroom. We left them like that for a few weeks and it helped! Now she can easily insert and remove her leg.
