This is a fairly good quality belt. It is firmly sewn but remains flexible. There is a screw at the end of the buckle so you can unscrew the strap from the buckle and cut it to the length you want and then screw it back on. Since my weight fluctuates wildly, this type of belt works great for me as the holes run the full length of the belt so it can be increased or decreased simply by selecting a different hole and buckled it on. I don't have to fiddle with a shorter or longer harness when my weight changes. This belt is also attractive. It goes with almost anything dressy or casual. Some might think it's a bit of a western look, but it depends on what you wear it with. The color is not too light or dark brown. The only thing I would do differently would be to make the buckle an antique brass color instead of the dull metallic color it is. This is my fourth belt in this style. Usually the leather threads start to snap and fray until the belt frays where I fasten it and it's too ugly to wear any longer. I think this belt will last a bit longer because the leather threads are a bit thicker making it stronger than my previous belts. Time will tell, but it will likely wear out in the same way. However, I would recommend this belt to anyone whose weight goes up and down regularly, or who simply wants an attractive, adjustable braided belt.
