Review on 🌟 Maximize Convenience with the Light My Fire Collapsible Pack-Up Water Bottle by Jason Connolly

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great idea, cap can be improved

I travel a lot for work. And I drink a lot of water. I'm someone who likes to carry a bottle of water with me at all times, so I figured this bottle would be perfect for my travels. I can empty it and ruin it before security, and once I'm through TSA I can refill it at the water fountain (some airports even have water bottle filling stations now!). And I don't have to shell out $5 for bottled water in hotel rooms. I love that this bottle is foldable but much more durable than collapsible pouch style plastic bottles. Even when empty, this bottle stands on its own, which is nice. I also like that it has a wide opening that makes it easy to fill. It's not really that easy, but I don't usually count ounces when I travel. and although the bottom gray part collapses, the top part is hard plastic, so it still takes up some space (but the compromise is its strength). The part I don't like (and why I deducted two stars from its rating) is that I have a feeling the hinge that attaches the cap to the bottle is going to break any second. After the first use, the loop turned white with wear. I feel like after a few more uses it will only degrade to the point where it breaks completely. Unlike Nalgene bottle caps, which are made of softer, more flexible plastic, this bottle is made of fairly hard plastic that doesn't seem to hold up well with prolonged use.

Pros
  • Always liked it
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
