This is a pair of long waterproof mittens with elasticated sleeves. The mittens are made of textured leather (goatskin) with 2 overlapping panels on the palms with nylon backing and polyester lining. They have 3/4" wide nylon straps on the back of the wrists with adjustable plastic buckles and elastics at the wrists. They come with snow gloves 3.5 inches beyond the wrists; These gloves can be tightened or removed with a pull tab on each glove. The mittens also have detachable nylon laces to attach to clothing or backpacks They also have plastic wrist clips to attach them together The mittens were made in China I really like these mittens for the warmth they provide I am a woman with small hands that are always freezing in winter. I was planning on using these medium sized men's mittens as an outer shell over wool mittens. But so far I've found that these mittens are warm enough on their own that I don't need an additional wool lining (although, as expected, they do , are a bit big for my hands) In fact, the thumbs can be a bit tight n to wear panels underneath but otherwise the mittens are about the size I would expect on a medium sized man. I wore these mittens for cross country skiing in clear weather and my hands stayed comfortably warm in these mittens the whole time. The lining is soft and cozy, and the palms hold the ski poles well. I also like the attachment points on the mittens to keep the snow out and the drawstrings to attach the mittens to the pack. All in all, this is a durable pair of mittens that will keep your hands warm in really cold weather.
