Reliable solution to replacing stuck lever pistons

Replaced plastic lever pistons in 2018 SRAM code RSC brake levers with these aluminum pistons. There was a direct replacement, no problem. The spring doesn't end up being as tight as a plastic plunger, but that shouldn't make a difference or problem. The levers now feel great and return as they should very quickly. The caliper shows that they are actually smaller in diameter than OEM plastic pistons.

Pros
  • INTERNAL LEVER MECHANISMS – Manufactured from wear-resistant rubber and aluminum alloy, extremely strong and durable.
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
