Sturdy but very uncomfortable
They work well but cannot be fitted/attached AFTER the railing box has been built. This is the opposite of the 1.2" system which is MUCH easier to work with and allows the owner to insert/attach splitter bars after the boundary box is assembled. Thoughts on this on the 36" circumference page)
