Review on Moyina USB C to RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet Cable: Fast and Reliable Internet for MacBook Thunderbolt 3/Type-C, Windows, Chromebook, Surface Pro, Linux, Android by Kevin Swier

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It seems that all RJ45 ethernet adapters fail after 1-3 months!

I'm waiting to buy this 4th ethernet adapter (2 from this seller). All of these ethernet adapters seem to be poorly made and stop working after 1-2.5 months of moderate use. I tune my devices to reduce exposure to EMF/RF as this leads to severe oxidative stress in the body and potentially cancer/disease. I bought 4 different ones from 3 different sellers. My 1st and 2nd were HP brands and the other 2 were Moyina brands. Both the original HP purchases and the replacement for each purchase failed (only 4 HP failed). After about 4-10 weeks of moderate use with HP, I couldn't stay connected to my network. The first Moyina lasted the longest, but also didn't work well anymore. So far, none of the RJ45 adapters has withstood moderate stress over a long period of time. I am disappointed that they are not rated to last at least 2 years. Still hoping for permanent non-mobile/wireless options for my Samsung S8+ or tablet. Trial and error continues. I wonder if the hubs have gotten better?

Pros
  • Connect directly to the network with a USB-C to RJ45 Ethernet cable, which is faster and more reliable than most wireless connections. Compatible with IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u and IEEE 802.3ab. Supports IEEE 802.3az (Energy Efficient Ethernet)
Cons
  • Good but not great
