I have a few acres of unfenced territory and a new puppy I'm retraining with - I think he would be great for training - long, light, easy to spot in the grass. The rope itself looks good and as advertised, but probably the third time we used it (about 10 minutes total) the metal clasp opened on one side and the sharp metal sliced through my son's arm as he held it (he declined my request for a photo of his bloody hand). At this point, the pup weighed about 20 pounds and was not pulling with any force. As the rope was used as intended and was practically new, this can only be explained by inferior (and irresponsible) material/design. Stitches are necessary, but I think that's just because we were lucky. If you're buying this for rope I'd suggest reinforcing the metal parts with some sort of tape or something (or just choose a different rope).
