Before you buy it, be sure to find out how air gets into your notebook. The rim of the fans needs to move more air than any other part, and if it can't be positioned over your laptop's air vents, choose a different design. I took all of that into account when I bought it for my wife's identical laptop. I can't wait to buy a higher quality product. It runs cooler than the random one I bought off the shelf in Germany, but the random has smaller fans that are easier to focus on my laptop's cooling sections. I personally think if you want serious cooling it shouldn't be USB powered as USB power is too limited. Does your phone get hot when you use your laptop? Tuck it underneath and it cools down in no time! Sometimes I even use it separately with my phone lol. Too strong for this cooling task :D
